Getting to Moneglia

Plan your arrival by train or car, understand the coastal tunnel restrictions and check parking before you travel.

Arrive by train

Search for Moneglia on Trenitalia and check the service for your travel date, including changes and the last return train. Use the station as your starting point for directions to your accommodation.

Arrive by car via the inland road

From the A12, plan via Sestri Levante or Deiva Marina, then the SS1 Aurelia and the signed inland approach to Moneglia. Confirm the final approach with your accommodation, particularly for a large vehicle. Allow for bends and extra driving time.

Coastal tunnels and through traffic

The Pro Loco arrival page warns that through access towards Sestri Levante and Deiva Marina is closed and directs visitors inland. A regional notice dated 4 July 2025 describes limited local reopenings. Local access does not establish that the whole coastal route is open. Follow current signs and check before driving; old traffic-light schedules are unsuitable for planning.

Check parking before you arrive

Ask your accommodation about a reserved space, unloading and the final approach. The Pro Loco notice published 28 September 2026 gave 4 October as the last opening day of its paid parking near the station. Do not assume that seasonal facility is available outside those dates. Confirm alternatives, charges and restrictions with the tourist office.

Choose a base and plan the return

Compare accommodation across the town using the local tourist directory. For a day trip, check your return connection before setting off. Outside summer, confirm opening days directly with each venue.
